Banking merger requires large investment to complete

Many types of business transactions require a certain amount of capital. Some require large amounts of funds in order to complete. A business merger between large financial corporations is definitely one of these cases in which a large investment of capital will be necessary. This is part of the reason why National Penn Bancshares, which has one location in Maryland, has initiated a $100 million public offering.

Business formation between large food companies almost complete

Business formation between Hillshire Farms and Tyson Foods is almost complete, contingent on the approval of the U.S. Department of Justice. This merger is a huge business formation between the two food giants and the Department of Justice is involved because of anti-trust issues. In order to complete the purchase of Hillshire Farms, Tyson must meet the requirements of the officials, which includes divesting a certain animal purchasing business.
