Creating new jobs is important to any local or state economy. This is why many are excited about the opening of the Steak 'n Shake restaurant chain in Maryland, which could potentially bring as many as 4,000 employment positions to the state eventually. The first Steak n’ Shake location is set to open in September, according to the franchisee’s business plan.
The entrepreneur has experience in franchising other restaurant locations and brands. His company, AR Restaurants, operates Taco Bell and Subway franchises throughout the state of Maryland. He had been searching for a new restaurant brand to franchise since 2012. He eventually decided upon Steak 'n Shake as was suggested to him by a friend.
The first location is expected to create anywhere from 120 to 140 employment positions. The entrepreneur says he is also planning to open restaurants at various other locations throughout the state. He plans to open a total of eight locations throughout Maryland. At the moment, he is looking to hire managers and staff supervisors with restaurant experience for each restaurant location.
Although the expansion of the Steak 'n Shake chain will be a significant benefit to the state of Maryland, the chances of success will also depend upon following a solid business plan. On the other hand, it is important that the business plan take into account any rules and regulations pertinent to the restaurant industry. This can be a considerable task for any business, no matter which industry. However, this can help to avoid future legal problems, which could end up to be costly.
